Today, Mr. Ramirez is a respected attorney known for his comprehensive expertise in representing governmental entities. As School Board General Counsel, City Attorney, and General Counsel to other public and civic bodies, his areas of focus include corporate body governance, day-to-day operations, employment law, and superintendent contract issues. He offers strategic advising and ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, navigating complex legal landscapes with ease. His proficiency extends to labor law advice for educational and corporate institutions, transactional work for a variety of entities and businesses, and representation pertaining to Texas Public Information Act, School Law, Open Meetings Act, and Election Code.
Co-leading our firm's 'Search Arm' with Ben Castillo, Mr. Ramirez assists entities in seeking top-tier leadership. His versatile practice also embraces water law, providing counsel to a non-profit water supply corporations.
Mr. Ramirez began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and subsequently earned his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law. His legal acumen was further sharpened during an internship with the Texas Education Agency Office of Legal Counsel.
Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Ramirez is licensed to practice in Texas and is an active member of the School Law, Governmental Law, Water Law, and Administrative Law sections of the State Bar of Texas. His dedication to his clients and unwavering work ethic underscores his value and integrity as an attorney.
